Lead Appalachia is an NC Teen Leadership Conference that is a groundbreaking four-day experience designed to inspire, educate, and empower youth all across North Carolina. Nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, this conference is your gateway to discovering and honing the leadership skills essential for success, while also addressing critical issues like workforce development, mental health, and substance use prevention.

Who can attend Lead Appalachia?
Lead Appalachia is open to youth who are rising 7th graders – rising seniors in high schools all across North Carolina.
What will be covered during Lead Appalachia?
Lead Appalachia will consist of keynote speakers, group sessions, and group activities around Substance Use, Mental Health, Workforce Development, and ultimately Leadership.
When is Lead Appalachia?
Lead Appalachia will be held June 24th – June 28th, 2024.
Where will Lead Appalachia be held?
Lead Appalachia will be held in Wilkes County, North Carolina. Specifically the Yadkin Valley Event Center in Wilkesboro, NC.
How much does it cost to attend Lead Appalachia?
If you are a youth in Wilkes County you can attend Lead Appalachia for $150. If you are a youth outside of Wilkes County or are an adult it will cost you $250.
What does my registration cover?
Your registration covers your entry to Lead Appalachia and four nights of hotel accommodations. As well as meals including; breakfast on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday; and dinner on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
